  • Innovative Billet Auto to Manual Mount Kit | 94-01 Integra

Every automatic 94-01 Integra is one project away from being the car it should have been. When you do the 5-speed swap on your DC2, the mounts are the part nobody warns you about: the automatic's driver-side mount won't hold a manual transmission. The Innovative Mounts Billet Conversion Mount Kit (B40154) is built exactly for this, mounting a B or D-series with a hydraulic manual transmission into a chassis that left the factory shifting itself.

What It Is and Why It Works

Innovative machines this kit from billet aluminum for the DC chassis auto-to-manual conversion, with their no-tear polyurethane bushings, CAD/CAM design, and stress analysis per the manufacturer, all covered by a lifetime warranty. Like all Innovative mounts, it deletes the OEM fluid-filled damping, which is the trade that matters: the engine stops rocking, wheel hop drops, throttle response sharpens, and you accept more vibration in the cabin than stock mounts ever gave you. On a freshly swapped B18C1, that firmness is what makes the clutch and shifter feel connected instead of rubbery.

Bushings come in three durometers rated by Innovative by power level: 75A black for 250-400hp, 85A grey for 400-500hp, and 95A red for 500hp and up. For a street-driven swap, the 75A is the right answer; stiffer only earns its vibration when the power justifies it.

    Fitment

    Year Make Model Trim Engine
1994-2001 Acura Integra RS, LS, GS, SE (automatic) B18B1, or B/D-series swap

This kit is for the DC chassis Integra that came automatic and is going manual with a hydraulic B or D-series transmission. The GS-R and Type R shipped manual-only, so they never need it. It does not fit the 92-95 Civic; Innovative makes the 49550 kit with the 2-bolt post mount for that chassis, and mixing them up is the most expensive way to learn the difference.

What to Know Before You Buy

Mounts are one line on the auto-to-manual parts list, so plan the whole job: transmission, clutch and flywheel, pedal assembly, clutch master and line, shifter with linkage, axles, and an ECU that matches the manual setup. The mounts are the part you can't improvise, and this kit uses the 3-bolt driver side post mount style, so verify which post mount your combination runs before ordering. If you ever need just that piece later, Innovative sells the B50150 billet post mount as a replacement.

Innovative won't take the kit back once it's bolted down and shows bolt impressions, so mock everything up first. Expect firm engagement and some idle buzz compared to the tired stock mounts, especially the first few weeks before the bushings break in. That's the kit doing its job. If it were our swap, we'd run the 75A, order the shift linkage in the same cart, and budget an afternoon for clutch hydraulic bleeding before the first real drive.
